A Fire No-Objection Certificate (NOC) is a mandatory document issued by the state fire department confirming that your premises meet all fire safety requirements. In India, it is required for hotels, hospitals, schools, commercial buildings above a certain floor area, industrial units, multiplexes, malls, and any establishment handling flammable materials. The requirement is governed by respective state fire prevention acts and the National Building Code (NBC) 2016. Without a valid Fire NOC, you cannot legally operate or obtain trade licences in most states.
